Perkins Coie filed a patent infringement lawsuit on May 28 in California Northern District Court targeting GE Healthcare Technologies and Caption Health over their marketing of artificial intelligence-based cardiac ultrasound software. The suit was brough on behalf of the University of British Columbia, which asserts a patent related to AI-enabled cardiac ultrasound imaging technology.
