Samsung Electronics filed a patent lawsuit against Finnish health technology company Oura Health Oy and its subsidiary Ouraring on May 30 in California Northern District Court. The court action, filed by O'Melveny & Myers, seeks a declaration of non-infringement as to five patents pertaining to smart ring technology. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 3:24-cv-03245, Samsung Electronics Corporation, Ltd. v. Oura Health Oy.
