Sidley Austin filed a copyright infringement lawsuit on June 13 in Illinois Northern District Court on behalf of Roadget Business, the owner of the SHEIN online fashion and lifestyle retailer. The suit takes aim at online sellers on the e-commerce platform Temu. The complaint alleges that the defendants uses copyrighted photographs of apparel from the plaintiff's website to advertise their own products. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 1:24-cv-04935, Roadget Business Pte. Ltd. v. The Individuals, Corporations, Limited Liability Companies, Partnerships, and Unincorporated Associations Identified on Schedule A Hereto.
