New Suit - Employment Discrimination

Los Angeles news anchor Jeff Vaughn sued CBS Broadcasting and parent Paramount Global for alleged employment discrimination on July 1 in California Central District Court. Vaughn, who worked at CBS for eight years, claims he was ousted from his role as a primary evening anchor in 2023 'because he was an experienced, older white, heterosexual male.' According to the suit, Vaughn was increasingly sidelined as the network sought to recruit and highlight diverse talent. Vaughn is represented by JW Howard | Attorneys and American First Legal Foundation. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 2:24-cv-05570, Vaughn v. CBS Broadcasting, Inc.
