The Prudential Insurance Co. of America was slapped with a data breach class action on July 8 in New Jersey District Court. The suit, brought by Saltz Mongeluzzi Barrett & Bendesky and Strauss Borrelli PLLC, centers on a Feb. 2024 cyberattack that allegedly exposed the personal identifiable and protected health information of over two million current and former customers. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 2:24-cv-07598, Smith v. Prudential Financial, Inc.
