New Suit - Trademark

Merchant & Gould filed a trademark infringement lawsuit on July 19 in Colorado District Court on behalf of the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee. The suit targets Prime Hydration, a maker of sports and energy drinks, for allegedly using Olympic-related terminology and marks on product packaging, advertising and promotions. According to the suit, Coca-Cola has a license for exclusive use of Olympic trademarks for beverages in the United States. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 1:24-cv-02001, United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee v. Prime Hydration, LLC.
