New Suit - Title IX Violations

Loyola University Chicago was sued on Sept. 10 in Illinois Northern District Court for alleged Title IX violations. The lawsuit, brought by the Law Office of Darren Wolf; Fegan Scott LLC; and Wertheimer LLC on behalf of two former Loyola students, accuses the defendant of systemically mishandling and underreporting student complaints of sexual misconduct. The plaintiffs argue that they were forced to either attend their classes in a hostile environment or abandon their education at Loyola due to the University failing to take effective preventive measures, 'creating a campus culture of deliberate indifference and tacit acceptance of sexual misconduct.' Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 1:24-cv-08223, Doe B v. Loyola University Chicago.
