Abbott Laboratories and Mead Johnson & Company were hit with a product liability lawsuit Monday in California Central District Court in connection with their marketing of Similac and Enfamil formulas for premature infants. The suit was brought by Gomez Trial Attorneys and Dixon Diab & Chambers on behalf of a mother who claims that cow's milk in the formulas contributed to her baby developing a severe intestinal disease. The suit alleges failure to warn, strict liability and negligence. The case is 2:21-cv-09932, Richardson v. Abbott Laboratories, Inc. et al.
