Pharmaceutical company Merck was hit with a product liability lawsuit Friday in Florida Southern District Court. The lawsuit, filed by Baum Hedlund Aristei & Goldman and Kennedy & Madonna on behalf of the parent of a minor, alleges that the HPV vaccine Gardasil has a questionable efficacy rate and causes injuries as a result of it being fast-tracked by the FDA in 2006. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 9:22-cv-80445, Thomas v. Merck & Co, Inc. et al.
