When Pfizer GC Jeffrey Kindler faced a challenge to the patents on its blockbuster drug Lipitor, he went with Delaware's Connolly Bove Lodge & Hutz -- a relatively small IP firm -- instead of a big-name, mega-lawyer firm in its stable of outside counsel. The move paid off with a judgment in Pfizer's favor.
