Fried Frank Litigation Partner Joins Milberg Weiss
Embattled class action firm Milberg Weiss Bershad & Schulman has brought aboard a new senior partner. Matthew Gluck joins the firm from Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson, where he had been a litigation partner since 1973 but was facing mandatory retirement. The addition follows a number of partner departures from Milberg Weiss, which was indicted by federal prosecutors in May for allegedly paying kickbacks to plaintiffs.A Philadelphia judge denied Airgas's motion to bar Cravath from representing Air Products in its $5.1 billion takeover attempt. But even as Cravath claims in new filings that Airgas's suit is merely a tactical move, it faces a preliminary injunction hearing next Tuesday.
