A Pizza Hut delivery boy who was forced by his boss to say a prayer and spank himself for an alleged transgression can't sustain a civil rights action against the restaurant corporation, a federal judge in New York has ruled. Although U.S. District Judge David N. Hurd found the existence of a hostile work environment, he dismissed the complaint, concluding the company responded quickly and appropriately when it learned of the alleged incident.

Chancery Court Awards First Attorney Fees Under LLC Act

The Delaware Court of Chancery has awarded $211,038 in attorney fees to plaintiffs counsel in a recent dispute to determine the control of a limited liability company. It is said to be the first time the court has awarded attorney fees under Title 6, Section 18-1004 of the Delaware Code, which permits the court to award such fees in derivative litigation brought under Delaware's LLC Act, according to attorneys involved in the case.
