Nashville's legal community struggles to cope with flooding

The Nashville legal community struggled Tuesday to cope with flooding that shut down utilities and closed key arteries following disastrous rainstorms over the weekend. Many offices were still closed Tuesday, after the Cumberland River burst its banks and drowned much of the downtown area in sewage-tainted water. State courts, schools and other government offices were closed, and it remained unclear when they would reopen.
