PREACHERS-NOT JUDGES-should lead revivals, Judge William H. Pryor Jr. wrote recently.Pryor's message, on behalf of a panel of the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, was to ward off district court judges thinking they could save the soul of a lost case.It was perhaps an odd metaphor given the subject of the July 2 opinion, the deadline for filing interlocutory appeals of class certification rulings.11th Circuit: Judges Can't Revive Interlocutory Appeal on Class Ruling
Preachers, not judges, should lead revivals, 11th Circuit Judge William H. Pryor Jr. wrote recently. The ABA has been lobbying for months to have lawyers kept out of the regulations, which require businesses and organizations that act as "creditors" to establish a program for preventing identity theft. The FTC and the ABA differ on how much of a burden the regulations would put on businesses.Trending Stories
