Big Firms Donate Big Bucks to Hecht's Officeholder Account

Some large Texas firms gave a total of $446,550 to Texas Supreme Court Justice Nathan Hecht's candidate officeholder account during the first half of this year, according to a report Hecht filed recently. In a letter seeking contributions, he said his costs in a challenge of a public admonition included $340,000 in attorneys' fees and litigation costs that he owed Jackson Walker.
