We've never read Rhonda Byrne's book, The Secret, which is Simon & Schuster's all-time best-seller with 14 million copies sold. And shame on us. After all, the book offers the keys to wealth, happiness, health, and love. On Monday a federal jury in Chicago cleared Byrne of allegations made by Drew Heriot, who directed the film version of The Secret. Heriot claimed he was a joint author of the movie, which predated the book by a few months in 2006, and that therefore he was co-owner of The Secret's copyrights. Heriot was seeking up to half of the $55 million in domestic profits generated by sales of the movie and book.
