A U.S. bankruptcy judge has cut nearly $75,000 from a Dallas law firm's fee request, writing in her order about a Chapter 11 proceeding in which "no notable problems were solved. Yet, a lot of lawyers incurred fees." U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Stacey G.C. Jernigan cut the $184,278.87 in fees requested by The Curtis Law Firm to $109,959.93.
