Big Week for Airplane Sales Sees Boeing and Airbus Lawyers Land Key Roles

Even as its troubled Dreamliner fleet remains grounded, Boeing announced Tuesday an agreement valued at $15.6 billion under which it will provide low-cost European carrier Ryanair with 175 single-aisle 737s. Boeing's announcement comes on the heels of rival aviation giant Airbus landing a record $24 billion order to supply 234 planes to Indonesia's Lion Air, a month after it struck a separate $9 billion deal to deliver 39 jets to Los Angeles-based Air Lease.
