Ascent Entertainment Group Inc. is seeking a Delaware court's approval to settle shareholder lawsuits over the $461 million sale of the company's sports properties, which include the Denver Nuggets, the Colorado Avalanche and Denver's Pepsi Center. More than a half-dozen Ascent shareholders filed suit seeking to block the sale, arguing Ascent officials didn't shop around for the best price. They estimated the teams and arena could bring as much as $550 million.
