Ex-Greenberg Shareholder Accused of Concealing Bank Officers' Crimes

Federal banking regulators are accusing former Greenberg Traurig shareholder Carlos Loumiet of making false statements, suppressing evidence and violating conflict of interest rules in connection with his work for the now-defunct Hamilton Bank. The U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency announced that it is seeking to impose a $250,000 fine and to bar Loumiet from representing banks and other insured depository institutions. Loumiet, now a Hunton & Williams partner, is fighting the charges.
