Orange County, Calif.-based intellectual property firm Knobbe, Martens, Olson & Bear has opened an office in Washington, D.C. It is the 211-lawyer firm's first office outside California. Litigation partner William Zimmerman, who has relocated to be managing partner of the new office, says the D.C. outpost "allows us to capture qualified recruits who want to stay on the East Coast that we were traditionally losing."Knobbe Martens to Open Silicon Valley Office
