Napster Faces the Music

For music-swapping Web site Napster, it may be the day the music died. With a few key exceptions, the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Monday backed a lower court's injunction against Napster, agreeing that the company is likely to be found liable for contributory and vicarious copyright infringement. Napster lawyers plan to appeal, including a request for an en banc hearing before the 9th Circuit.
