Pa. Rule Change Could Foster More ADR Practices

A recent federal court order in the Western District of Pennsylvania requires parties involved in certain civil actions to utilize a form of alternative dispute resolution. As a result, ADR is popping up more on firms' lists of expertise, particularly on those of midsize firms in Pittsburgh. Last month 28-attorney Rothman Gordon announced the addition of an ADR practice area. And even large firms have ADR groups and want to be involved at rates similar to what they charge for their trial practices.
