3M Urges 3rd Circuit to Overturn $68 Million Antitrust Verdict
Office supply giant 3M Thursday urged the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to overturn a verdict of $68.4 million in an antitrust suit brought by LePage's Inc. that accused 3M of using its monopoly power to drive LePage's out of the transparent tape market. 3M's lawyer argued the district court judge improperly expanded the scope of antitrust law to allow the jury to punish conduct that should be considered perfectly legal.Playing Fantasy Law Firm IPO Can Be Fun

The $70 million, mostly cash deal between the two Santa Clara-based companies was announced Aug. 4. Nvidia makes computer graphics chips, and MediaQ creates devices to help mobile phones deliver video images and graphics.
