When a government patent official asked Donald Junck to come to Washington, D.C., to help celebrate his milestone trademark application, he thought it was a prank. It turns out his trademark application was the one-millionth filed online with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Also recognized by the PTO were Mattel Corp., the biggest corporate filer of trademark applications, and Fross Zelnick Lehrman & Zissu, a New York law firm that is a prolific filer of trademark applications.
