First-Year Associate Hiring Down Slightly at Big-Tex Firms
Big-Tex firms are holding the line on new recruits, welcoming about the same number of first-year associates as they did in the fall of 2006. Twenty-one of the largest firms in Texas have 397 baby lawyers, 23 fewer than the 420 new associates hired by the same firms in 2006, according to information gathered for this year's New Associates Survey.Some Firms May Be Rethinking Retirement Policies
