Religious Divorce Battle Goes Public, Complete With Picket Signs
In an unusual twist on a growing religious issue, a Florida psychiatrist who refused to grant his ex-wife a Jewish religious divorce is suing to stop synagogue members from demonstrating in front of his office demanding that he give her a divorce document called a "get." Without the get, the ex-wife cannot date or remarry, according to the law of Israel, where the woman has relocated.
