For Associates, a Decade of Thrills and Chills
It was a wild ride for associates at big law firms during the first decade of the century. In the end, most everyone was a little queasy from the experience.Firms Balance Lateral Hires Versus 'Culture'
For decades, the only way to become a partner at an elite law firm was to become an associate at that firm first, preferably straight out of law school. That's no longer the case at most of the nation's major firms, who now poach partners with remarkable frequency. Brass will join Harris' three-person gang unit, focusing on murders and shootings. He is the first of eight new hires Harris hopes to make in the next fiscal year.Trending Stories
