FMC Selects 16 Firms for Final Phase of Litigation Value Challenge

FMC Technologies' search for a new roster of tech-savvy, budget-conscious outside counsel is almost over. The Houston-based oil and gas equipment company has selected 16 firms to take part in the final phase of what it calls the 1st Law Litigation Value Challenge. The company hasn't relied on the usual RFP process, though. FMC posted a two-page questionnaire on Legal OnRamp, a social networking Web site for lawyers, to put out a call for help.
