Area firms' good year reflects national trend

THIS YEAR THERE ARE 17 firms with Atlanta offices on the AmLaw 100 list of the top-grossing law firms in the United States-one fewer than last year. Cozen O'Connor, which was in the 99th spot in 2005, dropped off the list in 2006.Last year Atlanta gained three new AmLaw 100 firms: DLA Piper and Fish Richardson opened Atlanta offices and Sutherland Asbill Brennan vaulted into the top 100.
