Former Pathmark Worker Wins Discrimination Trial; Stands to Get $1 Million
A nine-member federal jury thought even more of a discrimination case against the N.J.-based Pathmark Food Store chain than federal law allows. Former Pathmark meat-cutter Joseph Mondzelewski proved to a jury's satisfaction that Pathmark had discriminated against him once he returned to work from a back injury. The jury also found Pathmark had retaliated against Mondzelewski when he filed a workers' compensation claim.
