A federal judge today dismissed the government's indictment against former Alaska Sen. Ted Stevens-but the case is hardly over for the Justice Department. Dissatisfied with the pace of the department's internal investigation into the bungled prosecution, U.S. District Judge Emmet Sullivan said Tuesday he is initiating criminal contempt proceedings against the original trial team and their supervisors.
