Spencer Baretz thought his law career was off to a flying start when he accepted a judicial clerkship in New York. But after clerking and working in a large law firm's corporate practice, he made the leap to entrepreneurship. "I really enjoyed the law but until your fifth or sixth year you are a paper pusher," said Baretz, who now runs a consulting firm specializing in law firm marketing.
