Private Prison Company Sues Locke Liddell Alleging Malpractice
A private corrections company seeks to hold Locke Liddell & Sapp liable for more than $5 million that's allegedly missing from an account set up for a land deal. Cornell Companies Inc. sued the law firm and one of its partners, alleging they "dropped the ball" by failing to ensure that a proper escrow account was set up to hold the company's funds.
