Growing Law Firms Relocate to Prime N.Y. Real Estate

Primarily for small and midsized non-New York City-based firms in need of bigger and more customized office space, the trend to move westward in Manhattan continues. Real estate brokers attribute this change to the fact that West Side buildings are newer and allow for more flexible development of office space than most Midtown East Side properties. Relocation can even save a law firm money, such as with Duane Morris, whose new 81,000-square-foot will have an art gallery, says Chairman Sheldon Bonovitz.
