Law Firm Leaders: Conservatively Optimistic

An overwhelming 89 percent of respondents to The American Lawyer's annual law firm leaders survey say they're optimistic about 2006. But in addition to all the upbeat forecasts on firms' prospects and profits, the survey revealed a host of woes involving lawyer productivity, a dearth of qualified lateral partners and an inability to open offices in London or China.
