KPMG Claims Lernout & Hauspie Execs Lied During Audit
KPMG Bedrijfsrevisoren, the Belgian subsidiary of KPMG International and outside auditor for bankrupt Lernout & Hauspie Speech Products, claims it has proof that former L&H managers impeded the accounting firm's audit by providing false information. Failure to disclose a key insurance document for the Port Authority at the World Trade Center in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks and other discovery abuses will cost Wiley Rein and Coughlin Duffy.
