After 30 Years, Law Firm Advertising Is Slow to Change
Thirty years ago the Supreme Court ruled that even lawyers were entitled to free speech. In those early days of attorney advertising, law firms created ads to demonstrate their unparalleled integrity and resourcefulness -- these days the ads are pretty much the same. Some of the sameness is due to ethics rules that rein in unfounded claims and hyperbole.
