Bharti Airtel and MTN Group are getting closer to announcing a transaction creating the world's largest international telecom provider. The deal ramped up in May, when talks between New Delhi-based Bharti and Johannesburg-based MTN started heating up over a shareholder swap that would precede a merger worth an estimated $23 billion.
