Manhattan Justice Carol Robinson Edmead has rejected a request from the owner of the Blimpies sandwich empire to excuse him from appearing as a trial witness based on his anxiety. Nicholas Lagano Jr. purportedly suffers from such severe anxiety that a recent court order to testify in a landlord-tenant dispute involving a Blimpies franchise sent him to a hospital emergency room.
