Parole actions keep lawyers busy

PAROLEES FACING parole boards that are tough on crime are making headway in some federal and state courts-and that's keeping many lawyers busy. A record 765,000 people are out on parole, according to the U.S. Department of Justice. The number is only going to go up, lawyers say. They note that those seeking parole-as well as those who are out on parole but end up back behind bars for getting into trouble-are in need of legal help.
