Discipline Report: Lawyer Resigns, Two Others on Probation

A Mansfield lawyer resigned in lieu of discipline, and two other lawyers were placed on probation, the State Bar of Texas announced recently. One of the lawyers was placed on probation for 48 months and was ordered to pay $10,644.91 in restitution and $1,500 in attorney's fees and direct expenses to the Bar. The other lawyer was placed on probation for one year and was ordered to pay $1,450 in restitution. In both cases, the Bar cited rules requiring lawyers to keep clients informed about their cases and not to neglect legal matters.
