Law Firms Back on Track

After enjoying a robust 2004, law firms posted lukewarm results for 2005's first half, according to a survey by the Law Firm Group at The Citigroup Private Bank. Major litigation, the driving force behind 2004's revenue increase, didn't slow, but it also didn't provide the lift of the last several years. On a brighter note, business accelerated significantly in 2005's second half, especially on the transactional side -- a good sign for 2006, says Citibank's Danilo DiPietro.
