A Polk County jury said that the lawyer-owner of a nursing home should pay $2 million to the daughter of an 82-year-old resident who developed severe bedsores that led to the loss of her leg before she died from infection.The May 17 verdict out of Polk County Superior Court favored Elizabeth Costlow, the daughter of Ruby Mae Tyler, who died 100 days after moving into Rockmart Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
