Three inmates indicted in Jackson County courthouse shootout

JEFFERSON, Ga. AP - Three inmates have been indicted for their roles in an escape attempt at the Jackson County courthouse that left a fourth inmate dead and a deputy with gunshot wounds.In a recently released indictment, Mark Joseph McCarthy, 25, Joshua Shane Marlow, 24, and Bobby Dwayne Martin, 37, face eight charges including conspiracy to commit escape, obstruction of an officer with violence and aggravated assault.
