N.Y. Judge Admonished for Fund Raising
With nearly two decades of judicial experience, a New York state Supreme Court justice should have known better than to engage in fund raising on behalf of a networking group, the Commission on Judicial Conduct decided Tuesday. Among the activities cited was Justice Marion T. McNulty's distribution of fund-raiser fliers to court employees and attorneys, and her solicitation of donations from lawyers who appeared before her.DuPont agreed Tuesday to shell out at least $1.75 billion to resolve its patent and antitrust battle with Monsanto Company over genetically engineered seeds--a battle that has already resulted in a $1 billion jury verdict against DuPont, as well as a bruising sanctions order against the chemical giant.
SkyWest to operate new fleet for Delta
SkyWest Inc. said Friday it will operate 10 new regional jets for Delta Connection, replacing 20 older, smaller aircraft.Delta Air Lines Inc. had already ordered the jets, which will be operated by Skywest's Atlantic Southeast Airlines subsidiary.
