Welcome to Supreme Court Brief. Washington and many in the nation will pause this morning as the justices remember and honor one of their own, the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. The justice will lie in repose today and Thursday at the Supreme Court, with an extraordinary public viewing when her casket is moved outside under the court’s portico. On Friday, she will be the first woman to lie in state in the Capitol’s Statuary Hall. We pause, too, this morning to remember the justice through the eyes of Supreme Court advocates who argued before her.
