Good morning and welcome to Supreme Court Brief. Abortion and guns dominate the first week of the justices’ November argument session. We take a look at the lawyers in those cases as well as the other cases on the calendar. The justices also, voting 6-3, refused to block Maine’s vaccine mandate for its health care workers. Justice Barrett, joined by Justice Kavanaugh, wrote a concurrence that may be reflecting growing sensitivity to how the court uses its emergency docket.
