Good morning and welcome to Supreme Court Brief. The justices have one case this morning to end the first week of the April argument sitting. Lawyers will square off on whether a police officer can be held liable for damages for a Miranda violation. We have brief details on the case and two fascinating amicus briefs. A New York lawyer has filed a petition asking the justices to find that citizens can sue a president "derivatively" for breaching a fiduciary duty. Plus, the justices and the Supreme Court Bar will remember Justice John Paul Stevens in special meetings on May 2.
