Good morning and welcome to Supreme Court Brief. Everyone is still digesting the blockbuster leaked draft opinion in the Mississippi abortion case. While the leak was unprecedented, Chief Justice John Roberts Jr.’s public response was rare in itself. The court finished oral arguments last week and is now in its opinion writing stage. But the business of the court goes on. Monday was a good day for the Supreme Court Bar. Advocates dominated the cert grants and the calls for the views of the solicitor general. They also participated in a special meeting to memorialize the late Justice John Paul Stevens. We have the story on both. Plus, scroll down for more analysis on the leak.
